NSW Government has closed its boatyard at the Hampton boat yard in Holden.
The Government announced the closure of the Hampton Dockyard in Holden on February 5, citing water pollution.
The closure will be in effect until January 31, 2019, when the State Government plans to re-open the facility.
A State Environment Minister told the ABC the closure was “not appropriate”, and said the decision was made due to the risk of water contamination from the vessel yards, the Harbour Bridge and other water sources.
