It’s a boatyard in Queensland, one that has a reputation for selling boats for under $400,000.
But when a new owner bought the property, it was quickly taken over by a Chinese company.
The owner of the boatyard is currently trying to sell the business to another company for a significant discount.
A local ABC reporter was told by a boat owner that the buyer was looking to sell it for less than $400k, so the boat yard has now been bought for less money.
But the owner of Beaulieu Boatyard says he’s not selling the business.
The ABC’s David Collins said he had been informed by the boat owner about a possible sale, but it was not until a week later that the owner spoke to the ABC about it.
“We have been told that the prospective buyer is trying to get us to sell for less, but that we are not selling,” the owner said.
He said he would like to see more boatyards around Queensland to have the same type of reputation as Beaulievs, which is the second best boatyard.””
I can tell you that we’re a good boatyard and we sell boats and we’re going to be keeping the boatyards going, and I can tell people the boat that we have is going to go out and sail.”
He said he would like to see more boatyards around Queensland to have the same type of reputation as Beaulievs, which is the second best boatyard.
“The boats we sell are all good, the boat is good, it’s not just the price, but the quality,” he said.
